Ya it’s possible he could be back by the end of the season…I just don’t think that gives you enough time to incorporate him…he’ll also be rusty. On top of that, he just wasn’t that good last year. I don’t want Jae either, but if you want some bulk, at least he’d be available all year.
I see Jae being available all year as a negative

Thinking this has to be money to be used in a trade later on. We can only do 1 for 1 so someone better want him.

That is 100% a contract so we can trade him at the deadline

I guess it's time to start keeping track of trade candidates who make $8M or less.

The current names that stand out for me are Simone Fontecchio and Ayo Dosunmo

Simone Fontecchio is interesting because his deal is fully guaranteed while it appears that Okogie's is not, so shedding $8M in the second year could be attractive to the Pistons. Reed fits into this scenario as well, but I prefer Big Tech.

I like Vasilije Micic, but I'm not sure what the Hornets are trying to do right now. Same with Dosunmu.

I think it's easier to call these contracts tradable than it is to actually find another team with 1) a contract that we can trade under the second apron rules, 2) a player that actually is someone we want/need, 3) a desire to actually acquire our player and give up something of value.

Right. That's why it's hard for me to believe a conference rival would help the Suns or a team dealing a rookie contract like Daniels. I think Dosunmu is probably too young to be realistic, but who knows with the Bulls.

I've lost track of the Suns future 2nd round picks (if they have any) which seems like it would be the grease needed to get one of these deals to go through.

Believe we have two Denver 2nds and our own 2031 2nd

We just got Tyus Jones! Does that mean we waived Liddell?

I don’t know if we have yet…we have time..can carry extra players in the offseason…though if we want to stretch his deal, we need to do it before the start of September I believe.
