Really? Y'all don't watch his podcast with Eddie Johnson?

Anyway, I survived Hurricane Francine unscathed. The eye basically passed right over us so we got a ton of rain, water came up to my doorstep but none inside the house. We're at a high point tho so lots of streets did flood. Just a ridiculous amount of steady rain. Streets are already clear this morning.
Glad to hear you're ok... Keep us posted if things change.

Also hope the school year is going as good as possible given the weather.

Does this mean that the back end of the hurricane will be hitting you soon after the eye passes over? I hope the second part is much less than the first for you and everyone in Gulf Coast that it's affecting.

Saul is out as GM of PHNX Sports:

Never heard of him.
He’s the only guy i liked on their show. Gerald and Espo are pretty meh. I think Gerald would talk about being a proud Switchfoot fan lol. I dunno.

My school year has sucked a massive dong. One of the other Geometry teachers quit, leaving me as the only non-honors teacher there. I have no one to share my workload with. So I'm doing every single thing for the class. I barely have enough time in the day. Plus my kids are just awful this year. I have one class that's decent, one that's a little bad but at least somewhat teachable, and one that has so many bad kids that are only in school cause they have to be that it's almost a waste of time. I know I'm not supposed to say that but 90% of kids in that class are not there to learn, only there b/c they have to be. Anyway, I appreciate you asking.

Yeah, but the back in was no big deal. It was full of dry hot air and no rain, but the wind kicked up for a while. If that back end would have had bad rine like the eastern wall, it would have been a different story and a definite flood in the home. I don't know why the pumps couldn't keep up with the rainful. Have been looking for an explanation but the sewage & water board have just been obfuscating.

Sorry to hear about both the hurricane and the school situation Carey. Hope things get better and the school finds a replacement for the person that quit…

I think it's a bigger deal than you're giving them credit for. They have offices and studio spaces. They have shows for UofA, ASU, the Cardinals, the D'Backs (which I watch pretty regularly unless it's a late game), and of course the Suns. They promoted Espo to GM of the PHNX division of All City (there are several cities in the network with similar programming though I don't think it's as prevalent as something like Locked On (David Locke's podcast network.) Idk what Espo's qualifications are other than running social media for the Suns for a while under Sarver early in his tenure. I like Gerald's writing and he seems to be the brains of the operation if you're interested in Xs and Os and actual reporting from practices and games. Of course, Lindsey is Lindsey. Used to be a side=line reporter but was replaced by a younger, blonder person who i think has been replaced by yet another younger person.

Unlikely, mate. No one is itching to take these inner city charter school jobs. I wanted to make a difference but sometimes it feels like pissing into the wind. Boss told me they have not had a single application for the job since they posted it.
