Rudy made multiple all stars as an almost strictly defensive player
Yes but he also averaged 14-16 ppg.
That’s not very much. Ayton will average that
Agreed. I was just saying that a true "dirt worker" scoring in single digits like Ben Wallace and Dennis Rodman might have a difficult time becoming an All-Star in today's NBA.
Gotcha, yes I would agree with that

I think if Ayton concentrates on busting his tail down the court to beat his man, and scores off of offensive rebounds, he could get about 14-16 ppg without any plays being run for him. And you know that he will get touches on PnR rolls, along with midrange shots when he's open at the high post. There are plenty of ways for him to get his ppg up, without getting butt hurt about touches. The ball finds energy.

I don't really want to click on those TMZ-esque sites. I don't mind whomever Ayton wants to date. But I was curious whether he is still with the mother of his kid. I assume they are split up?

Articles says he's been with the pornstar for 4 years now. How old is his son?
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

In summary....

Ain't agree with much Pierce said lol especially DA as a stretch 5
Like others said with the Bahamas clips, rim running DA is a good place to start. That along with double teams on the Big 3 and switches gonna get him mismatches, just hopes he is stronger and more decisive with the ball

Yes it's Book team but Suns fans already know that

I'm not overly concerned about the sharing of the ball, feel we will be fine

I think they both made some good points and some wildly unrealistic statements.

Pierce is right that a Center who can shoot and protect the rim is the ideal role for this team. Ayton doesn't do either at an elite level (or at all), so he'll really have to run the floor hard and be active defensively.

KG clearly sees something I don't with Ayton as a post player, and I think Pierce was right to push back a bit. KG totally lost me when he said "maybe" Giannis is a better post player than Ayton. I haven't looked at any numbers and I don't really care to, Giannis will always be better until Ayton learns how to dribble attack and draws fouls. Then we could probably have that debate.

His son is two. As someone posted from another source, he's been off-and-on with his son's mother for awhile. Katt is more like the side chick who's now official. (I assume there was likely some overlap between the two lol and that she's at least part of the reason for the breakup, but those are just assumptions.)

So two months ago KG was a Hayter saying DA was a bum who refused his training and now he's saying DA is a top 5 big (not just centers) in the league, ahead of Bam?

Nailed it. These guys don’t know Ayton’s game very well at all.

Yeah, KG was talking about a type of basketball that hasn't been played in at least a decade. It's simply inefficient offense to work the ball into the post with 12 seconds or less on the clock unless that post guy is a generational talent like Shaq or Embiid. Even then, it's still not always great if 3 of the other guys on the court are capable of going for 30+ on any night.

KG says DA is dominant in the post like Embiid.

I rewatched part of it and at 2:37 I finally caught that KG was responding to someone off camera who asked "Jaren Jackson?" when KG said, "Hell no, y'all trippin'."

We need KG in here to set you all straight.
