Weekly news thread assignments 2023-24

OK team, we did this last year and it worked out well. Let's keep a spreadsheet of who will make the two news threads for each week: Suns News and Around the League. Take a look at the dates and fill in what you can. Thanks in advance!

Kryptonic: Thanks. I don't think there is a real script to it. I just copy the previous week's threads and then use Google to find news stories from certain sites like ESPN.com, CBS SportsLine, SI.com, and Bright Side of the Sun. I linked to the sources where I get the weekly schedules from, in the Week 5 threads I just made.

I really like https://www.basketballintelligence.net/ for sort of helping aggregate Suns stories and Around the League stories. Whoever puts that site together is doing a ton of work finding ALL the basketball stories out there.

I don't think anybody signed up to post the threads for this week. If nobody else can do them by this evening, I'll make them. I'm working today, so it'll have to be after that. Anyone is welcome to jump in, though.

Hi gang, I'm scheduled to make the news threads for next week (Jan 22). But my wife and I are expecting our 4th child any day now, and I bet I won't be available to actually make the threads. Can anybody take next week's thread duties and I'll grab another week instead? Thanks!

OK, I made the threads for today. I notice ShelC has been making an awful lot of them lately. I hope someone else can step up and take 1-2 weeks to spread the burden around! Thanks again to Shel for being so helpful for so many weeks.

I just realized that we didn't have any threads for this current week, and that I was supposed to make them. Oops! I think at this point it's too late to make them now, but I'll move myself to take next week and will make those threads on Monday.

We have (had) this week listed (4/1 - 4/7) as the last one in the spreadsheet, but we have games up through 4/14. So I think we're missing one week? Can anybody take it?

How should we do the threads for the playoffs? A thread for each series? A thread for the (non-Suns) first round as a whole?

Checking back from last year we did a general NBA Playoffs thread for each round.

Might make sense to start a Suns Offseason News Thread for non-playoffs news like the Allen extension and another General NBA Offseason News thread?
