More lies on top of lies. I think Trump and his team want every GOP supporter to know about project 2025 and who is behind it and then want to deny it exists to everyone else.

This cracked me up for just how obvious and brazen it was.

This has become a standard chickenshit GOP ploy: vote against some Democrat-made bill that brings funding to your state, then brag about the bill being wonderful after it passes anyway. These people have no morals or principles, only "Dems bad."

Heritage has put together a policy blueprint for every incoming GOP president in recent memory except HW Bush (who was the former CIA director and a policy wonk himself) and Trump 1. Most of these blueprints were acted upon.

Why should I not take their latest version seriously?

I thought this was pretty funny. The most jarring thing though is at the end where all the people who served under Trump are now anti-Trump.

The party of unity! Seriously, it is really dangerous to normalize talking like this.

Laura Loomer is an embarrassment. She's had multiple totally over the line statements just this past week. I would hope that even most MAGAs would want to disassociate from her.

Didn't know where to put this. It sounds like some Republicans and conservatives are upset because the Olympics featured a rather flamboyant and risqué opening ceremony featuring various performers in unusual or revealing costumes acting out scenes that made the viewers uncomfortable. Some said the scenes reminded them of the Last Supper and others pointed out that at least one performer was almost entirely naked other than his blue body paint.

It’s France. The ceremonies featured lots of different things all happening at the same time. There was a fashion show featuring some pretty weird outfits like you would expect from a French fashion show sprinkled in. It’s Europe. You see topless billboards in Europe and it is totally normal there. It kind of freaked me out on my first trip there. I bought beer out of a vending machine in Germany. Republicans should abstain from visiting Europe. Their minds would explode.

Yeah I mean, I have just never fully understood why we are casual about violence but deeply embarrassed and shocked by nudity. It's sad in a way. I'm not some nudist, but the human body is generally nothing to get worked up about.

Some of you might have noticed my disdain for the GOP. It seems like there are so few in the party that haven’t sold their soul to Trump. I saw this story and it made me a little proud. The Republican Mayor of Mesa AZ has come out and said he is voting for Kamala because well, you know.

Republican Arizona mayor backs Harris over Trump, evoking McCain
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4 ... mp-mccain/
Mesa Mayor John Giles wrote in an op-ed for The Arizona Republic that Republicans should reject former President Trump at the ballot box.
“Our party used to stand for the belief that every Arizonan, no matter their background or circumstances, should have the freedom, opportunity and security to live out their American Dream,” Giles wrote.

“But since Donald Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election, Republicans have yet to course correct,” he continued. “The Republican Party with Trump at its helm continues down the path of political extremism, away from focusing on our fundamental freedoms.”

Giles argued that President Biden and Harris have delivered for Arizona, pointing to infrastructure investments and new jobs, while Trump turned away from immigration reforms. He also argued that Harris represents a return to “decency” in politics.
Giles recalled the career of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), arguing that Arizona needs more like-minded leaders who can work across the aisle.
“And it’s that same high caliber of character and leadership I see in Vice President Harris,” he wrote.

It seems that the conservative Project 2025 has had one of its directors step down and there's a bit of an attempt to act like the whole project is disbanded. This is likely because the Dems made a huge push to raise awareness about the extreme policies of Project 2025 and its close connections to Trump, which have caused the project and Trump himself to lose popularity. But it sounds to me like the whole thing is still very much alive and well.

I think one of the best things about the past few weeks is watching both Trump and the GOP media collectively have a panic attack about Kamala. The stuff they are saying and posting and writing has been just unhinged and insane. They're angry, they're scared, they're confused. I don't know who will win in November but I absolutely love seeing them so flustered.

The GOP-controlled House is planning to do investigations into Tim Walz. Why? Because he's a VP candidate, and he's an evil Democrat. And the GOP uses its power to bully and attack its enemies.

Trump is bringing in Tulsi Gabbard as a debate prep partner. To me this is more proof that Tulsi is no good.
