Trump 2024
Re: Trump 2024
It was funnier in person! You just had to be there.

Re: Trump 2024
He probably thinks calling people gay is funny.
Re: Trump 2024
Trump's own people are trying to warn us about how dangerous he is. This clip should be immediately disqualifying for any Presidential candidate.
Re: Trump 2024
He disowned his own child for being trans.
Re: Trump 2024
There's a lot of talk coming out of the Trump/Vance/MAGA circle today about how Dems (along with the mainstream media) are responsible for the assassination attempts against Trump and that they need to tone down their rhetoric. I just don't buy this line of argument at all. The Dems are remarkably restrained in how they talk about Trump. Kamala had a civilized debate with Trump despite him being an insane seditious fascist. What's more, Trump and Vance openly call Kamala a communist and fascist repeatedly, and their inflammatory rhetoric is responsible for basically ruining an Ohio town with bomb threats and racist panic.
Re: Trump 2024
This article says it well. Accurately calling out the threat of Trump is not inciting violence.
Re: Trump 2024
They're just going fully with the "other team is trying to get Trump killed" argument.
Re: Trump 2024
Not liberal, but they've clearly become interested in wielding the power of a "big" government. Not the same "big" government that progressives want, rather, one devoted to protecting their own power and using the power of government against their perceived enemies in the country.
Re: Trump 2024
@ Mori
A few posts above you claim, that the Trump, JD Vance and the MAGA circle are trying to make the dems responsible for the attacks due to their rhetoric.
In another post you are calling him a „facsist“! That‘s exactly the rhetoric they are talking about.
Trump may be an asshole (or not), but he is anything but a facsist. Repeatedly it‘s claimed, that he was a danger to democracy.
We can all disagree on different political opinions. But calling him a facsist is off the charts.
PS: I‘m Austrian and live near Vienna. I think I know a few things about facsism. It seems you don‘t.

Re: Trump 2024
Hi Antilles, good to see you, and thanks for posting! I stand by my words. Here is the Merriam-Webster definition of fascism:
Sounds like Trump to me. Total immunity from accountability via SCOTUS? Talking about getting rid of term limits? Talking about ignoring the Constitution? Admiring dictators and strongmen all over the world? Wanting to shoot protestors who disagree with you, declaring that you hate people who support the other candidate? Fomenting an insurrection and an attempt to overthrow the government because you lost an election? At a minimum he has undemocratic desires, and I think it's fair to say that he would be an autocrat or dictator if he could get away with it. I don't think it is really a stretch at all to call him a wanna-be fascist.
Calling Trump what he is, is not an incitement to violence. Trump doesn't get to silence people from accurately calling out the grave danger he poses to the country.
Meanwhile, since you so strongly dislike people calling each other fascists, just recently Trump has repeatedly called Kamala Harris a "Marxist communist fascist socialist." I'm sure you disapprove of that, too? This is apparently the type of rhetoric that leads to violence, no?
Meanwhile, autocracy is defined as:a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascismgovernment in which one person possesses unlimited power

Re: Trump 2024
Sure I disapprove of that too.
What I was referring to is the fact, that I think that nowadays „real“ fascism“ gets trivialized by calling too many people fascist. Or communist, bzw. That‘s how I see it.
You ever visited a concentration camp? Saw it with your own eyes? No, I guess. That‘s REAL fascism.
Mauthausen is not far away from Vienna.
Anyways, from my perspective: neither Trump nor Harris will be the end of the world.
It is sad that nowadays in political discussions people search for things that devide us, not unite us.
US and Europe, all the same.

Re: Trump 2024
Trump says if he loses in 2024, "the Jewish people would have a lot to do with the loss." The ADL criticizes him for saying so.
