They still need another big body at forward if they want to fix their rebounding problems.

Okay, so cut/trade Bol Bol or Damion Lee for who ?

Seems like a step in the right direction. At least he can rebound. Kinda sucks to see Okogie go.

I don’t understand why other teams can’t just give us stuff without us having to give anything in exchange.

Gambo believes Nurk won’t play for the Suns again.
How so?
I don’t know. Gambo saying it’s very likely he’s gone and he’s not saying it in a speculative way either, more like it’s a matter of how not if.
Don't you mean a matter of when, not how?

Now where are we sending Nurk?
Think we are stuck unfortunately…leave him at home for the rest of the year and then waive and stretch him this summer.
I think we still play him. We need rebounding. That's his best trait.
Sub him in when the shot goes up, sub him out when the rebound is secured.
That's the kind of innovative thinking we need on the Suns.

Gambo saying Nick Richards will star once he “gets acclimated”

My own personal sources, which I’m gonna call Wally’s flashes, are telling me “no shit”
Cool, just what we need, another star player.

Also shoutout to Okogie…I wish he could’ve figured out how to shoot, but his energy, hustle, and defense was always appreciated. Gotta think he knew that contract was always meant to be used for a trade.

He was shooting pretty well this season. It will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.

What's the paywalled "jarring stat"?

There wasn't much other than the C rotation is 3 wins below replacement level, worst in the league.

I'm trying to be optimistic about adding him but also managing my expectations. We got younger, bigger, more athletic at the 5spot. If he can at least battle and use his size to keep the other team off the boards, it's a win for us. If he were any good, the Hornets wouldn't have traded him for Okogie and 2nds. Just checking out Reddit, fans are pretty happy to see him go - good backup, bad starter, bad hands catching the ball and iffy motor. The bar is low here tho so if he can give us 20-25 mpg of shot deterrence, rebounding and a few dunks we'll be happy. Anything is something right now.

I don't expect the Suns to look much better with Richards, rebounding and defense is a team and effort thing and we just traded one of the best effort and defensive guys. So while it's nice to get a younger big body, this doesn't really fix much to me.

Bol for Reath straight up. No need to attach a pick. Maybe a conditional pick swap or something but not like other teams are clamoring for Reath.

I don’t know if he has any chance to develop that short role game but I guess he won’t come in with those skills ready to go. Hopefully this will mean a bit more decision making for Tyus as Book and KD probably aren’t going to maximize his effectiveness with lob passes.

I think Bol is some sort of KD pet project, I don't think he's available. Could be wrong.

A project we need to let die…. Kinda like the KD trade experiment.

At least we have a decent, playable center. Now we still need what we’ve always needed: a rebounding PF.

Ya his percentage was decent this year…felt like he was being pretty selective though. I would still welcome him back in the future if he wants.
