I was speaking more defensively. Can he guard the 3pt line? I thought he was very agile and nimble before adding the muscle. Now, he's too upright/top heavy.

Agreed. You can see the bulk he has added up top, but his legs are very skinny. I think it was EJ that said he tries to eat like crazy but can't keep any extra weight on.

And the weight up top is a bit concerning because you want a big to have a low center of gravity and bend at the waist/knees to gain leverage in the post. He's tall as it is and if he's too upright, he'll get pushed around in the paint or blown by on the outside. RoLo coincidentally does a good job of starting really low to get the vantage point on both sides of the ball.

Thanks for posting that article. From the article:
The jury is still out on the $26 million backcourt of Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight.
I'd like to call for a verdict.
Boston is perhaps the only team set up better for the future than Phoenix.
Uh, Timberwolves?

I think he is specifically talking about future draft picks.

Give credit to general manager Ryan McDonough for hiring Watson.
Unlike many of you yahoos. ;) I'll go with the opinion of the 20 year insider. 8-)

I don't think he said it in a positive way, necessarily. I think he is just saying it was his call.

Full section:
Betting on Watson
Give credit to general manager Ryan McDonough for hiring Watson. Not often do teams stick with an interim head coach who finished the season 9-24. Watson went from D-League coach, to NBA assistant and then head coach in less than a year, which is extremely rare.

The Suns looked past the standings and focused on the team’s direction. Watson’s strong player-development background, his relationships with players and the organization, and the mutual familiarity played key roles in the hire.

One thing is for sure: McDonough and Watson are in this together. General managers usually get a pass on the first head coach they hire. The second hire is the one that gets scrutinized more closely.

Wait, what about the five Ps?! Oh, yeah. The last one, Performance, he didn't do to well in. We can add a sixth one to the list: We haven't made the Playoffs since he got here.

According to Dave King, Babby has been barely involved since last June. Those of you hoping to scapegoat anything on ol' Lon (not that any of you are, but I've read it elsewhere) should have your hot take canon aimed at McDonough instead.

So much for the great Bob Hill?
Suns assistant coaches Corey Gaines and Bob Hill were informed Wednesday that their expiring contracts will not be renewed. Player development assistant Irving Roland and assistant video coordinator Ross Geiger also will not return to the Suns staff for Earl Watson’s first full season as head coach. All of the staff’s contracts will expire June 30 but the others will be renewed.

The last two teams to fire Hill were rewarded with Tim Duncan and Kevin Durant.

Well, Durant is a free agent and we can always trade for Duncan, right?
