Lot of hand wringing about the "vote this year and you won't have to vote again" quotes from Trump. I just keep coming back to the decision that, no matter what Trump meant with the comments, he just shouldn't say things like that because they sound scary and undemocratic and evil. And if he wants to be the President and lead the most powerful country in the free world, he should have enough intelligence and self-control not to say things that sound like this, not even as a joke or whatever.

Dude, he doesn't have that kind of intelligence. He as the intelligence that he personally ascribes to Harris. He's as dumb as a rock.

I think me, In2, and AIG need to get together for some beers and wings and not talk a word of politics.

Trump tries to clarify his "you won't need to vote in 4 years" comments. I am not very reassured.

His mouth moves and words come out.

It finally happened. Trump hates EV’s. Has vowed to get rid of them. That much is not news. It’s a Republican thing to hate them, windmills, solar or anything not oil. Musk siding with Republicans is not news anymore. Trump all of the sudden deciding EV’s are great is news. Trump rule #1. Follow the money.

How Trump Came to Praise “Incredible” Electric Cars He Once Criticized
The unlikely friendship with Elon Musk is powering a new chapter in Trump's stance on EVs
https://lavocedinewyork.com/en/news/202 ... riticized/
Musk, like Trump, ever the showman, took some credit for this shift. At a Tesla shareholders meeting, he casually noted, “I can be persuasive.” He speculated that Trump’s change of heart might also be influenced by the fact that many of Trump’s friends now own Teslas and rave about them. Plus, Trump is reportedly a big fan of the Cybertruck—a futuristic vehicle that looks more like something out of a sci-fi movie than a traditional pickup.

This unexpected alliance between Trump and Musk could prove beneficial for both. Trump stands to gain from Musk’s endorsement and substantial financial backing, which he highlighted with characteristic hyperbole at a recent rally. “Elon endorsed me the other day,” Trump told his supporters. “He’s pledged to donate $45 million a month to my campaign.” For Musk, Trump’s call to eliminate the $7,500 federal tax credit for EV buyers could level the playing field against competitors like GM and Ford, which currently benefit more from these subsidies.

1) What does that response have to do with the question?

2) 71% Jews voted for Clinton, and 68% for Biden. All out of their minds? Somebody want to rationalize how that’s not antisemitic?

Your first mistake was trying to make sense out of anything he says.

No way to dodge what he said. Harris should be making memes like crazy.

Here it is with a little bit further context:

I think I am finally understanding what he (at least claims to have) meant, although he still didn’t explain it very well (getting too old perhaps?).

I think he’s saying that everyone will love his policies so much that the Republicans won’t even need the Christian vote anymore in order to win. So Christians can go back to not voting.

(Still not sure if it’s even true that a very low percentage of Christians vote.)

Everyone who tries to explain what Trump really meant every time he says something controversial starts out with “I think”.

Trumps mouth moves and words come out.

I'm always amazed that Trump gets away with saying the things he says about groups of people, like Jews, African-Americans, etc.

Today Trump apparently "re-truthed" some posts insinuating that the FBI ordered or was involved in the assassination attempt against him. Wow.

OMG. Right now as we speak, Trump is doing an appearance with the NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists), ostensibly to help ask for / boost his support among black voters. But it seems to be something of a shitshow. For starters he refused to go on stage for an hour until they promised not to do their customary fact-checking after his answers. Secondly, the interviewer begins by mentioning some of his allegedly racist comments toward black journalists and asks why black voters should trust him, and he responds by bashing the interviewer and the question. The crowd is already hooting and jeering at him. I think this could be a real bomb of an interview.

OMG, now he is being asked about the officer who shot and killed (unarmed black woman) Sonya Massey, and about how Trump has claimed that police officers should get total immunity. Trump flubs the question and the crowd gasps. LMAO, this is a complete train wreck.

LOL OMG ... now they're asking him if he agrees that Kamala is a "DEI hire." Trump first challenges the definition of "DEI" and then he questions Kamala's racial identification and says she used to say she was only Indian but now has "become" black. The crowd is audibly a mixture of groaning, jeering, and laughing. He is absolutely bombing.
