Think we are stuck unfortunately…leave him at home for the rest of the year and then waive and stretch him this summer.

I think we still play him. We need rebounding. That's his best trait.

Sub him in when the shot goes up, sub him out when the rebound is secured.

I don’t think it’s that surprising about Nurk. It’s clear the Chris Haynes report about “frustrations in the locker room” about roles on the team was clearly about him. The fact the he was stacking DNPs all but confirmed that.

For reference…rebound rates this year:

Nurk - 21.4
Plumlee - 19.9
Richards - 19.2
Oso - 12.6

Though I bet Richards goes up here because our other 4 guys are usually pretty bad.

Oso needs to get a lot stronger.

Also, Nurk had the highest rebound rate in the league last year (22.8).

He’s going to star. He’ll be a generational center. Might even rival our last generational center.

They still need another big body at forward if they want to fix their rebounding problems.

Nick Richards might actually be able to give us the good of Ayton(rebounding and finishing at the rim) without the bad(lazy, overpaid, wants to shoot middies, contact averse).

I’m hoping for a solid 12/10 every night

I don’t think it’s getting fixed…but if they fix their perimeter size problem, I’ll take it. Jimmy won’t help a ton with rebounding, but he would give us more size defensively. Starting Royce could help a bit. Would be nice if Dunn learned to rebound.

Biggest issue is KD, Book, Beal, and Tyus don’t rebound

If he gives 12/10 on 65% shooting and runs back on D and in transition and I’ll be ecstatic.

Also shoutout to Okogie…I wish he could’ve figured out how to shoot, but his energy, hustle, and defense was always appreciated. Gotta think he knew that contract was always meant to be used for a trade.
