This is a good clip of Pete Buttigieg giving his thoughts and context about Trump's latest zany stories such as immigrants eating cats. He points out that it's a distraction technique to keep focus on these sideshow issues over important things that really matter. Pete is a very effective speaker and communicator; I think he could run for President or VP in the near future.
I think it will be a long, long time before a homosexual can win either position.
Either position? I see what you did there lol.
We really need someone that can give you a reach around ... both ways!!
There's a bit of a drama right now because the national Teamsters union has chosen not to endorse Kamala Harris nor any other candidate for President in 2024. The president of the union even spoke at the RNC for Trump's nomination. Usually the unions and teamsters lean heavily Democratic. Reportedly they met with Kamala and asked her for some concessions in return for their endorsement, which she declined. In response to the lack of endorsement, multiple local/state chapters of the teamsters have individually chosen to give Presidential endorsements.
Sounds like Eric Adams was taking money from foreign governments including Turkey. I saw that they did things like buy him expensive plane tickets but then hide the cost so it wouldn't be clear he was accepting such an expensive first-class ticket, etc. I was reading that several of his aides were directly involved and may also be indicted, and that Adams's home was raided this morning.
Of note, the Democrats seem to do a much better job holding the members of their own party accountable for their misbehavior. You hear squawking from MAGA world about Biden or whomever "weaponizing the Justice department" against their enemies, which is generally BS, but there are lots of examples like this of the feds going after Democrats when Democrats do bad stuff. By contrast, the MAGA side of the aisle loves to repeatedly excuse, forgive, pardon, dismiss cases against, etc. their kind when they do bad stuff.
