Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: PHX Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: AZ Family 3TV, NBALP

The Bulls come to town on a surprising hot streak having won 5 out of their last 6. They are playing a fast style game trying to wear teams out by the third and fourth quarter. Can the Suns play good defense for two games in a row for the first time all season? Tune in to find out.

Oh, and Beal, Plumlee, and Allen are all out which seems to be a good thing for us lately. More Oso and Dunn!

This is our last arguably easy/winnable game before a really tough stretch. Our next 10 games are against:

Cavs
Bucks
Celtics
Wolves
Rockets
Bucks
Celtics
Knicks
Warriors
Thunder

Ooooooooof. I mean, aren't we likely to go about 2-8 in that stretch?

Something tells me we will also find a way to butcher this winnable game despite having played a bit better lately.

Ya it’s rough…2-8 might be enough though. Win tonight and beat Kings and Spurs at the end of the season and 2-8 might do it. That gets us to 37-45…we’d need Dallas to finish 4-9(or worse) and the Blazers to finish 6-7(or worse).

The Bulls have one five of their last six games. They've been playing good basketball lately. This is not a team to take for granted. Suns have to handle business tonight.

You’re out of your frickin’ mind. There’s no arguing that it’s an easy game for us. You act like you haven’t watched this Suns team all season long and like the Bulls have lost their last 5 in a row rather than the reality of having won 5 out of the last 6.

Maybe I'm being oversensitive about this, but I don't think I am out of my mind, and I don't like when people accuse me of not even watching the games. I have watched almost every game this season in its entirety, and I actively comment in the Game Day threads most times (if I'm not behind on DVR).

I don't think this is going to be an easy game. (Note that in the same post I pick the Bulls to win the game in my spoiler tag.) I just meant that it could be argued that this is our easiest opponent for the next several weeks, since the upcoming ten-game stretch is a list of absolutely brutal opponents. CHI is also frisky but they do have a 29-39 record, meaning most people would consider them an easier opponent than say the Cavs or Bucks, our next few opponents.

I think we actually agree with each other that this game will be a challenge, so maybe it is just that my phrasing was poor.

That's all it was was the phrasing. If you had left out easy/ and just said winnable, I couldn't argue. "Easier" also acceptable. :P I had zero intention of accusing you of not watching games. I said "you act like". Meaning I knew you DID watch most/all games and thus we should all know by now that we have no easy games.

Having said all that, if we DON'T win tonight, we have no business even being in the play-in tournament.
