I would take MitchRob, his problem is not really offense or defense, it’s availability… Stewart is also nice and he’s certainly not undersized at the 4, he’s just not a good enough shooter quite yet I think and losing Grayson Allen will definitely sting.

I think we’ll know a lot more come January…. Hard to know who is even available right now.

That’s really impressive…I only got 29/54…jersey numbers aren’t a thing I pay much attention to apparently. Though I missed some obvious ones I should’ve known(Danny Manning 15, PJ Tucker 17, Hill/Adams 33)

I know it's early in the season but I kind of want to talk about realistic things we can do to add depth to the 4/5 rotation. Having two out of three games against the Lakers will do that to you.

Remind me, WW, what you feel about Walker Kessler?

Just kidding. I don't think Kessler is a realistic target, as he's young, on a cost-controlled contract, and we'd have to deal with Trader Danny.

What are some realistic options at the five, if we are to move Nurk? Is there any chance we can get guys like Capela or Valanciunis? Do we even want to? In general I don't think it's realistic to trade for younger players, as the other teams will have absolutely zero incentive to help us. Split mentioned Zubac after the season, I would love to get his more rounded play in here, and it'd be an added bonus as he was drafted by the Lakers and dumped for Muscala and that trade has been a sore spot for Laker fans... but why would the Clippers do it?
Nurk + Allen for Kessler. Ainge has to say yes, it's two white boys for one! The Utah special.

I’m not a Walker Kessler fan…he’s also a very limited offensive player. Yes he’ll finish better at the rim, but that’s all he can do. He’s a worse ft shooter, has no post game, no semblance of a shot anywhere, and has no playmaking skills. He’s a better rim protector than Nurk and is a good rebounder. It’s just not enough for me to give up a 1st for, which is what it would take.

Don't watch if you want to feel old

I don't think you said that right Shel. Unless you really wanted me to watch it.

And what do I care what a bunch of young punks say? Actually, Okogie was the wisest beyond his years. Thanks, Josh. I'm not old by his definition.

I'm very skeptical there is a Nurkic trade that is possible and makes sense. Rather than complain about the situation, I've learned to accept that. Nurkic has his faults for sure, but at times he is also very effective. The team would be lost without his rebounding. and I think his defense (on other than AD) is acceptable.

There are a few bad matchups out there for Nurk, so you accept those and deal with them. The other games, he's acceptable. We'll see how things go through the season, but it's hard to find a good trade where you improve the team with their limitations with personal and contracts.

Who would you rather have, Nurkic or Steven Adams?

Remember the pundit that said we had horrible defense?

Pretty similar to be honest…Adams might have a better understanding of his limitations though.

I don't like Steven Adams for this team and am not big on him these days. He's super limited offensively, can't shoot, and not as athletic as he used to be. He's an awful FT shooter. And he's had bad injuries and trouble staying on the court. If some of these limitations were gone I'd like him, but then, he probably wouldn't be available if he didn't have such limitations.

Why would we want a guy who turns back into a pumpkin come January?
