Game Day: 76ers (1-4) @ Suns (5-1), Mon 11/4/24

Post by Superbone »

Time: 8:15 pm AZ (7:15 pm PT/10:15 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: AZ Family 3TV, NBATV

The Philadelphia 76ers come to town and Paul George will be making his Sixers debut tonight while Embiid remains out. Beal is once again Questionable. The Suns have won 4 in a row while the 76ers without George and Embiid to start have struggled. Let's not help them get back on track. We especially want to ruin George's 76ers debut. No love lost between Booker and George. Note the strange start time 15 minutes past the hour.

Beal needs rest, so does George. Let’s make a deal with the Sixers and rest them both.

Where's the good sportsmanship? It wouldn't be fair to make PG13 face Dunn in his first game back. He'll hurt himself again. Let the man rest.

Yep, it could easily be a career ending confidence shaker for the poor guy.

Wilt, Michael, Elgin, Book, Iceman, KD. That’s a nice looking list.

Those are the players with the highest scoring averages against the Sixers.

I want to see Dunn be a tenacious defender, all over the place. It feels like he's been more focused on getting to his spot to be a spot up 3 point shooter more recently. Needs to get back to his bread and butter. That's his calling and that's what I love watching.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Quiet game day thread. I have been watching the game while juggling kid duties. Seems like we are mostly playing well other than porous defense and Booker's 1-7 shooting. Old ass Kyle Lowry has 13 and 5 on us somehow. I notice that Dunn has been very quiet so far with 0-1 shooting, 0 pts, 0 ast, 1 reb in 6 minutes.

You don’t measure Dunn by his stats. Except for the -11 in 6 minutes.

He has had a positive +/- in every game so far. That ends tonight.

Why didn't the Suns try to sign Yabusele?

Maxey is having himself a game. Hard to stop him. If Booker were shooting a normal percentage we'd be out ahead, as it is it's basically a tie.

Oof. Two Tyus Jones turnovers in a row (!) and now Philly is up 5.

Book having a rough game to say the least.

Nurkic is just irritating. I basically just want to see Plumlee in all of his minutes. Just bricked two big FTs and then had a bad turnover.

Seems like every time Booker wins player of the week he's absolute trash the next game. Someone look into this in case it's just my confirmation bias.
Go Suns!
